Jesse has been a guide and outdoor educator for 15 years now. He feels like he's living his dream when he's guiding on the chief or instructing climbing in the Smoke Bluffs.

He decided to start the Squamish Climbing Academy when he was guiding a 14 year old boy up the Squamish Buttress and the boy mentioned a climbing summer camp he attended in Smith Rock Oregon.

Jesse who saw working at and attending summer camp as an important part of his development sees Squamish Climbing Academy as a place where teens can receive high quality climbing mentorship.
