Teen Skaha Bluffs Climbing Trip
Ages 13 to 18. Two Monday to Friday weeks, March 15-19 and March 22-26, 2027. $1,799 per person at Wright's Beach. Pickups in the Sea-to-Sky, Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and Hope, and anywhere else along the drive from Squamish to the Okanagan.
Sport and trad for ages 13 to 18, with pickups in the Sea-to-Sky, Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, Hope, and anywhere on the way
The Teen trip is for ages 13 to 18, with 6 spots. Days are sport lead and, where a climber is ready, an introduction to trad: gear placement, anchors, route reading, and managing risk.
Skaha Bluffs is sunny and dry, which makes March break a good time to leave Squamish while it is still wet. For many of these climbers, this is their first climbing road trip.
Parents are welcome, climbing alongside their kids or helping with camp. Tell us when you book so we can plan vehicle space and tent sites.
Jesse Godlington, our owner and founder, spent years instructing at the Bluffs and knows the area well: which walls get sun, where to get out of the wind, and good lines for every ability. That local knowledge shapes how we choose terrain each day.
Both weeks follow this Monday to Friday plan, March 15-19 and March 22-26, 2027. The second week includes Good Friday. $1,799 per person.
Itinerary
Day 1 Mon: Travel and First Climbs
Squamish to Skaha Bluffs. Morning departure. We leave Squamish on Monday morning, load the vans, and pick up climbers along the way. That includes the Sea-to-Sky, the Lower Mainland, the Fraser Valley, and Hope, and anywhere else on the drive to the Okanagan. Stops are confirmed when you book. At Wright's Beach Camp on Skaha Lake we set up camp, eat, and go over how the week runs. The afternoon is the first session on the rock. Guides choose the terrain for ability and conditions: sport warm-ups, clipping practice, and a chance to see how everyone climbs.
Day 2 Tue: Sport Lead Day
Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. A full day of sport climbing. Clipping, lead belaying for climbers who are ready, and redpoint tactics on routes they can work. Guides choose the walls for the group's ability and for the conditions, and the afternoon stays there for another burn. Dinner at Wright's Beach.
Day 3 Wed: Sport Projects and Intro to Trad
Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The day mixes sport redpointing with an introduction to trad. Climbers who are ready place gear and build anchors, with a guide checking every piece. Guides pick the terrain for experience and conditions. Dinner and a fire at Wright's Beach.
Day 4 Thu: Route Reading
Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. A full day on terrain chosen for ability, sun, and wind. The focus is route reading, where to rest, and how to manage energy on a longer pitch. Sport climbing continues, and climbers who want more trad get another supervised session on gear and anchors.
Day 5 Fri: Pack Up, Final Climbs, and the Drive Home
Skaha Bluffs, then home to Squamish. Morning pack-up, then home. We pack up camp in the morning. Then a last session for projects and send attempts, on terrain that fits the group and the conditions. After that we drive home to Squamish and drop climbers along the way. Both weeks use this plan. The second week includes Good Friday.
Crags we may visit
We choose the area each day for the group's ability and the conditions. Diamondback, Grassy Glades, The Fortress, Doctor's Wall, Great White, The Belfry.
